Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 September 2026
RogerDeck is a private push-to-talk communications app for live-event production crews, operated by G3E Global LLC, a Florida limited liability company.
This policy explains what information RogerDeck collects, why, and what we do and do not do with it. It applies to the RogerDeck mobile app and to this website.
The short version
Only your production can reach what you send. It travels encrypted, your voice is not recorded, and none of it trains anyone's model.
We collect what the app needs to put you on the right radio channel with the right crew. We do not run advertising, we do not build profiles for advertisers, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.
What we collect
Your account
Your mobile phone number. It is how you sign in and how your Crew Chief identifies you when staffing a production. We send a one-time passcode to that number each time you sign in.
Your email address, if your account has one. A Crew Chief can also use it to put you on the days they run, once you are on their company's roster.
Your profile
- Your full name, and what you are called on the floor, so your crew can tell who is speaking.
- Your date of birth, used to confirm you meet the minimum age to work on a production.
- Your preferred language: on a paid plan, when translation is on for your crew, written messages are translated into it for you.
- Certifications you add: the type of each one and when it expires.
- The code on your crew badge, which your Crew Chief prints and scans to check you in.
- An emergency contact, if you add one: their name, their phone number and, if you want, how they are related to you, so someone can be called for you if something goes wrong on the floor. Only the Crew Chiefs of the days you work can see it, from the day before each of those days (when its date begins anywhere in the world) until that day closes. Your crew and your company cannot, and once you are released from a day, its Crew Chiefs no longer can.
Your work
Which productions you have been staffed on, which department and channel you belong to, and the role your Crew Chief assigned you. This is entered by the person staffing the production, not by us. Around it, the app keeps:
- Attendance: your check-ins and check-outs, breaks, and the hours they add up to, written when your Crew Chief scans your badge or checks you in by hand, or when the day closes. An early release is recorded with its reason. These records cannot be edited or deleted, so the hours stay accurate for the production's billing. For each production, the radio opens for the crew only after they check in (the production can turn this off). When you check out, your radio and every alert for you end, and when the day closes everything ends at once.
- Tasks you are given or raise: their text, any photos taken with the camera, and whether each one has been acknowledged.
- Changes to the crew: handovers between Crew Chiefs, removals from a roster, and when you leave a channel.
- Talk time in the free Talkies you start, counted per calendar month toward the free plan's limit.
Your communications
- Written messages you send on a channel. On a paid plan, when translation is on for your crew, a written message is translated on RogerDeck's own server; if translation is unavailable, it arrives as written. The free plan has no translation: on its channels, a message arrives as written.
- Voice transmissions you send by holding the talk key on a channel go live to your crew and are not recorded. RogerDeck keeps who spoke, on which channel, when and for how long, but not the audio.
- Emergency alerts. When you raise one, the crew on your day or Talkie gets it with your name, and we keep a record of who raised it, which alert it was, on which channel and when.
- The day's safety record. When someone presses EMERGENCY, or sends a CODE RED or its ALL CLEAR, we keep who did it, when, on which day, and the alert's standard text. This record is not deleted with the messages: it is kept as long as the day's attendance records.
- Reports you send. If you report a message or a person, we receive the report, that message and who sent it, and use them only to review the report.
- One-to-one calls are not in the app yet. When they arrive, their audio will never be recorded or transcribed, by design. We will keep only that a call happened, between whom, and when.
Technical information
The channel you are connected to, or were last connected to, and when, so the radio keeps you on one channel at a time. And, only if you send a diagnostic report from the app's Help screen, after it shows you everything in it: your device model (on Android) and operating system, the app version, the network type, the audio route including your headset's name, the day or Talkie and the channel you were on, and the app's recent log. A report is linked to your account. We use this information to run the radio and to fix problems, and nothing else.
Notifications. To send you a notification, we store a push token for each device you sign in on. It is deleted when you sign out on that device and when you delete your account. A notification carries the text of the message or task it is about, and it reaches your phone through Expo and through Apple (APNs) or Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging). On Android, the app also tells our server which alarm channels your phone has, kept with its push token and deleted with it. That is what your phone can do, nothing about how you use it.
Do Not Disturb access (Android). RogerDeck can ask, once, for Do Not Disturb access, so an EMERGENCY or a CODE RED can ring through it. It is optional, and the app uses the access for that and nothing else.
Errors. If the app hits an error, it keeps a short record on your phone: what the error said and where it happened, cut to a few hundred characters, with any email address or phone number taken out, for the last few errors only. It leaves your phone only inside a diagnostic report you choose to send.
Visits to this website
When you visit rogerdeck.com, Cloudflare, which hosts it, counts the visit with Cloudflare Web Analytics: the page, your country, the kind of device, browser and operating system, the site that sent you, and how fast the page loaded. It sets no cookies, and Cloudflare says it does not fingerprint visitors or follow them across other sites. We see only totals, never who you are.
When you request access
If you fill in the request-access form on this website, we receive what you type in it: your name, email, phone number, company or production and country, plus anything else you choose to add, such as your role, crew size, departments, languages, next show date or a note. We keep it in a database run by Cloudflare, and it also reaches our inbox as an email sent through Cloudflare. We use it only to contact you about RogerDeck, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising.
We keep a request for 12 months after you send it and then delete it from the database, together with any agreement to texts it carried. The copy that reaches our inbox stays until we delete it. To have both deleted sooner, write to us at the address below.
Two checks keep the form from being flooded. Before it sends, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is filling it in; to do that it reads technical signals from your browser, which Cloudflare says it uses only to tell people from automated programs and not for advertising. And Cloudflare counts the posts that come from your connection's address for one minute; we do not store that address.
Texts about RogerDeck. The form has a box you can tick to hear from us by SMS or WhatsApp at the number you give. It is unticked until you tick it, and you can request access without it. If you tick it, we keep the words you agreed to and the time you agreed, and we may text you about RogerDeck. You can stop at any time by replying STOP or by writing to us at the address below, and we will not text you again.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your session secure.
- To place you on the channels your Crew Chief staffed you onto, and to keep you off the ones they did not.
- To deliver your voice and your written messages to the rest of your crew.
- To give a production an accurate record of what was communicated on its channels.
- To diagnose faults and improve reliability.
Text messages
RogerDeck sends text messages only for the reasons described here: one-time passcodes by SMS that you request yourself by entering your number in the app, and, only if you ticked the box on the request-access form, texts about RogerDeck by SMS or WhatsApp. If someone asks us by email to delete your account, we also send one text from our own phone to the number on the account, so you can confirm it was you. We send no other text messages. Texts about RogerDeck have not started yet; the service that sends them will be named on this page before the first one goes out.
You can stop them at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, or by writing to us at the address below. Replying HELP returns contact information. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Who your information reaches
Your crew. What you transmit on a channel reaches the people staffed on that channel. Your name and role are visible to your crew. That is the point of a radio. On the free plan, the app shows a channel's members only its last three written lines; older messages are kept, as How long we keep it says, and the app does not show them.
Your production's administrators. The people running a production can see the record of communications on that production's channels, and the company's owner can export it. Messages are in the export only until they are deleted, as How long we keep it says.
Service providers who operate parts of the product. We use Supabase to host the database and handle sign-in, Twilio to deliver the SMS passcode, Cloudflare for hosting, email, the website's visit counts and, when translation is on, carrying written messages to our translation server, Expo to deliver app updates and notifications (with Apple and Google, who carry them to your phone), and Resend to email us the reports you send and service alerts. Live audio on a channel is carried by LiveKit Cloud, a third party. We do not claim that nobody but your crew can technically access a live transmission in transit, only that we do not use it for anything else and it is not recorded. These providers process information on our instructions to provide the service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Each of these providers handles your information under a written data processing agreement that requires it to protect your information and to use it only to provide its service to us.
Nobody else. We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising. We will disclose information if we are legally required to, and we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.
How long we keep it
Voice is not kept. A transmission goes live to your crew and is not recorded, so there is no audio to store or delete.
Written messages, and the record of who transmitted on a channel and when, are kept so a production has an account of what was communicated, until they are deleted as the next paragraph says. Attendance records are kept, because a production's billing depends on them. Your account and profile are kept while your account is active. Diagnostic reports are kept until we delete them; write to us and we will.
Messages are deleted after 90 days. A production's typed lines, with their transcripts and translations, and its History (who spoke, when, and who heard) are deleted 90 days after its last day closes. A Talkie's lines are deleted 90 days after they're sent. The work record stays: attendance, assignments, tasks, hours, and the day's safety record.
When you delete your account, we erase your name, your phone number and email address, your date of birth, your emergency contact and your certifications, and your printed badge stops working. The work itself stays in the production's records, shown as "Former crew member": the shows and days you worked and your hours, the tasks you created or finished, what you sent on the radio and who heard it (until those messages are deleted, as above), and the invitations you sent. If you are invited again with the same phone number, the new account starts empty.
Your choices
- Stop text messages: reply STOP to any message, or write to us.
- Delete your account: in the app, under Settings, Delete your account. It cannot be undone. If you're the Crew Chief of a day that hasn't wrapped, you started a Talkie that hasn't ended, or you are the only owner or admin of a company with other people on its roster, the app tells you what has to change first. How long we keep it, above, says what deleting erases and what stays. No longer have the app? rogerdeck.com/delete-account says how to ask us by email.
- Ask about your information: write to us at the address below.
Security
Access to each production's channels and records is enforced by the database itself, not only by the app: a person who is not staffed on a channel cannot read it even if they try to go around the app. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
Children
RogerDeck is a tool for working crews and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under the minimum working age for the productions on our platform.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who receives it, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify crews through the app.
