RogerDeck is a private push-to-talk communications app for live-event production crews, operated by G3E Global LLC, a Florida limited liability company.
This policy explains what information RogerDeck collects, why, and what we do and do not do with it. It applies to the RogerDeck mobile app and to this website.
Only your production can reach what you send. It travels encrypted, your voice is deleted on a stated schedule, and none of it trains anyone's model.
We collect what the app needs to put you on the right radio channel with the right crew. We do not run advertising, we do not build profiles for advertisers, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.
Your mobile phone number. It is how you sign in and how your crew lead identifies you when staffing a production. We send a one-time passcode to that number each time you sign in.
Which productions you have been staffed on, which department and channel you belong to, and the role your crew lead assigned you. This is entered by the person staffing the production, not by us.
Device model, operating system version, app version, network type and audio routing, collected when something goes wrong or when you choose to send a diagnostic report. This is used to fix problems and nothing else.
When you visit rogerdeck.com, Cloudflare, which hosts it, counts the visit with Cloudflare Web Analytics: the page, your country, the kind of device, browser and operating system, the site that sent you, and how fast the page loaded. It sets no cookies, and Cloudflare says it does not fingerprint visitors or follow them across other sites. We see only totals, never who you are.
RogerDeck sends SMS messages only for the reasons described here: one-time passcodes that you request yourself by entering your number in the app, and occasional account notifications about your crew membership. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
You can stop SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. Replying HELP returns contact information. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Your crew. What you transmit on a channel reaches the people staffed on that channel. Your name and role are visible to your crew. That is the point of a radio.
Your production's administrators. The people running a production can see the record of communications on that production's channels.
Service providers who operate parts of the product. We use Supabase to host the database and handle sign-in, Twilio to deliver the SMS passcode, Cloudflare for hosting, email and the website's visit counts, and Expo to deliver app updates. Live audio on a channel is carried by LiveKit Cloud, a third party. We do not claim that nobody but your crew can technically access a live transmission in transit, only that we do not use it for anything else and it is not retained past the schedule below. These providers process information on our instructions to provide the service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Nobody else. We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising. We will disclose information if we are legally required to, and we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.
Voice audio is deleted automatically. A recording is kept for up to 90 days after the session it belongs to closes, and no longer. That ceiling applies regardless of anything else. Once speech-to-text is live, a transmission that has been transcribed will instead be deleted 30 days after its session closes; until then, the 90-day ceiling is what protects you.
Written messages, and the record of who transmitted on a channel and when, are kept so a production has a lasting account of what was communicated. Your account and profile are kept while your account is active. Diagnostic reports are kept only as long as needed to investigate the problem they describe.
Open question: how long a closed production's message history should be kept, and a self-serve way to delete your account entirely, are not finalized. Until they are, write to us. See Your choices below.
Access to each production's channels and records is enforced by the database itself, not only by the app: a person who is not staffed on a channel cannot read it even if they try to go around the app. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
RogerDeck is a tool for working crews and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under the minimum working age for the productions on our platform.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who receives it, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify crews through the app.
