RogerDeck is push-to-talk for stagehands, riggers, audio and lighting crews. It carries the cue call, the spotter's call during load-in, and FOH talking to monitor world, on channels private to your production. You hear each other as you talk. Translation, for crews that don't share a language, is in development.
RogerDeck is in private beta. Early access is by invitation, and there's no public sign-up yet.
The rest of the app serves these three. We'd rather ship two that work than three that half work.
Channels belong to your production, and access follows role and department. Nobody with a scanner can tune in. Crew, leads and the PM see only the channels their session gives them.
Your voice plays on the other phones while you're still talking, the way a two-way radio works. Hold to talk, let go to listen. Nothing sits waiting to upload like a voice memo.
It's the feature we're building RogerDeck around: say it in one language, read it in another, so a mixed-language crew runs the show off the same call. The pipeline is built and switched off. Today nothing records a call's audio, and nothing gets translated.
The channel stays open. You don't dial, and nobody has to pick up. You press when you have something to say.
Every department gets its own channel: audio, lighting, rigging and stage. A follow-spot op joins Lighting, and the other departments' calls stay off their radio.
Press and hold, call the cue or the spot, let go. Everyone on the channel hears you live, like the radio on your belt. Gloves on, with the PTT button on a shoulder speaker-mic. Coming soon.

The app is what a hand reaches for mid-show, standing up. We built it around a call sheet, a rig plot and a cue-to-cue. Reports, staffing and billing belong in a separate dashboard, so the phone stays a radio.
We keep them apart on purpose. A PM standing at FOH doesn't want a report open, and a report has no business on a phone screen.

Transcription, glossary matching and translation are built and under test. The piece that feeds them isn't: nothing records a call's audio yet, so right now the pipeline processes nothing. We'd rather you hear that from us.
